Basically, think a little. But it's so much more difficult to develop critical thinking when your brain is in overdrive just to keep up with all this information.
I was just thinking (ha!) the other day how so many social media posts have embedded in them this overly-explanatory or advice-giving angle, so the users don't need to make even the slightest effort to understand what they consume anymore: do this before you x, N things you didn't know about x, N signs you are x... I think this contributes negatively so much to our loss of critical thinking.
This is very true, we all want a simple set of instructions. Every time you comment on one of my posts Monica, I always read it and think damn, I should have thought of that and put it in my article!
